Principal's Message

Hello Catamounts,

My name is Jeff Bridgewater, and I am proud to be serving as the principal of Marshall Middle Academy of Fine Arts. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and moved to the Houston area to complete my Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Houston Downtown. I then accepted my first position at HISD, where over the past 13 years I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, dean of instruction, and now Principal. During that time I also received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas.

I  look forward to continue working with the Marshall community, and the greater Northside community as we strive for Marshall Middle Academy to become the premier middle school in the community. I believe that we are in a position to provide students with a variety of unique experiences, whether it be in academics, athletics, or visual and performing arts. I  look forward in collaborating with our staff and stakeholders to create a learning environment where all students feel safe and supported, and where parents know their students are receiving a top-notch educational experience. I look forward to connecting with our students and community, and can’t wait to see all of the great things that we will be achieving this school year!
